Matsu-no-ma

The name of each chamber corresponds to the pictures painted on the wooden skirting of the paper sliding doors. Utilized as a rest room this small chamber is called "Pine Tree" chamber as pine trees are painted. The ceilings and the paper sliding doors are elaborately and elegantly designed. The frames of the sliding doors are made of bamboo, and small birds are painted on the glassware.
